Burning Games for Xbox 360 Is a Flimflam Waiting to Happen

By now I'm sure you have discovered that it is indeed possible to get what you need to make burning games for Xbox 360 possible. The fact is that it is perfectly legal for companies to provide the software needed to actually burn the games. As well, it is perfectly legal for you to actually burn the games as long as you are doing it only to make back up copies.

But doesn't this open the door to crooks, thieves and derelicts to also start burning games for Xbox 360?

You and I both know that there are unscrupulous people out there that are going to use this software to burn hundreds if not thousands of copied to benefit their own greedy desires. They are going to sell them on the internet or at swap meets to unsuspecting, and possibly even suspecting customers. They are going to pocket the money and move on to the steal the next game.

If you think about the repercussion this could have then you are probably realizing something very obvious here. If the actual game makers do not make the profits on the games, then how are they going to be able to make new games?

It's not the thieves that sit for hundreds of hours programing our games. It is the game designers, programers and production companies that release the titles. So this goes even further not only are these people stealing the game they are possibly stealing the lively hood of a whole group of people that helped create the game in the first place.

The positive side of this is that we are not all thieves. Luckily there are more of out there that appreciate great video games and we understand that a company needs profits to continue producing new games. Sure we may not enjoy dishing out up to sixty bucks for a game, but we do enjoy the hours of entertainment that is provided once the game is home and in the machine.

Burning games for Xbox 360 is in deed actually a good idea for you and me. We did just dish out our hard earned money for a new game and one little scratch could completely ruin the disc. One little slip and the game could be rendered completely useless.

So long as you are just backing up your games for personal use there is nothing wrong with burning your games. One great idea is to actually use the burned copy of the game for daily use. That way if the disc gets damaged the original can still be sitting in the box ready to go.

Let's all be honest and make sure that we do not give away, sell or distribute burnt games. That way we can expect more great games in the future. But lets also protect our games and protect our investment and back up our video game collection by burning games for Xbox 360.

Gran Turismo 5 Review

Gran Turismo 5 or GT5, is one of the most anticipated games of the year but did it really live up to this expectation?

Personally, I think it has lived up to its name and more, with mouth-watering graphics and immense driving simulation that could make you pass your driving test, it is a speed freaks dream. From bombing down a 3 mile road at 250 mph to hurling yourself round acute turns in a lightweight go-kart, every age group is catered for. Saying that, the exhilaration of each race might just tip an eighty year old over the edge or even make a two year old want to do a few laps around the living room.

Gameplay

Lets get started on the gameplay. Whether you are getting your MOT at your local garage, or changing your oil in your latest Bugatti Veyron, you can do everything you can do in a real garage on GT5. With detailed animations of garage workers mending your car and with the option to browse and buy a massive selection of second hand cars for bargain prices, every spendable point you earn will feel as rewarding as the last. For example, in the dealership you can buy a brand new Audi A4 for around £50,000 but in the second hand dealership you can buy the same car for around £20,000. The only difference is the mileage and maybe the chipped paint, but you will find yourself taking advantage of the reduced prices far more than the high first hand ones.

There is far more to the game than buying cars, with a-spec and b-spec options this game will take a long time to complete. A-spec mode is the traditional dog eat dog lap race in which you have full control. However, a highly controversial feature is the b-spec mode, where you control a CPU controlled driver, giving orders and commands, but ultimately you sit back and watch an unrealistically bad driver ruin your perfect 100% win record. Although you can rank up the brainless driver, he never compares to the human holding the controller. The majority of the features I have mentioned are predominately in the GT mode which is not all you can do on the near perfect game.

Game Modes

The game modes include GT mode, arcade, online and 2 player. Although you might play with your friends in 2 player or online modes, I am convinced that a large bulk of your time on the game will be spent trying to get the best cars and drivers in GT mode. There is not much else to be said about the other game modes as they are pretty self explanatory.

Final thoughts

Ultimately, I feel that Gran Turismo 5 satisfies every element that is required for a driving game of this stature. In comparison to Need For Speed, its main competitor, GT5 exceeds it in nearly every way. For example, the graphics are far more realistic than those of NFS as they express every curve and every mark, scratch or dent of each individual car. As for the environment, I think that NFS and GT5 are on par together which doesn't have a great impact as you do not really buy a racing game for the blurred environment surrounding the cars as you whiz past at 200 mph. In NFS, it is clear that EA have put more effort into a storyline rather than GT5's emphasis on the aspect of real life that they have incorporated.

My Rating

GT5's quality makes it very easy for me to rate it, from graphics to gameplay to the immense re-playability factor it deserves a 10/10.

Pilotwings Resort Video Game

Pilotwings Resort is a innovative video game for the Nintendo 3DS system. It is a single person flight simulation game which is a member of the Nintendo Pilotwings franchise, and features an incredible 3D experience without the need for 3D glasses.

People acquainted with the N64 Pilotwings will enjoy the return to the game, and completely new players will also be enthralled by the experience. Despite the fact that it appears to be a very simple concept, the game is tranquil and interesting, and surprisingly addictive.

Generate or import your individual avatar, or Mii, and fly high in the skies while finishing challenges and other fun-based activities. As you advance forward through the game, your Mii acquires and unlocks additional skills and equipment, and you can collect many hundreds of items in Free Flight Mode. You'll be able to just fly around and enjoy the landscapes, or you could attempt time or point based missions.

Choose between three methods of flying, a hang glider, a plane or a rocket belt. Each one of these has its very own unique controls and quirks as you fly over and investigate Wuhu Island. As you travel around, take postcard snap shots of beautiful or intriguing places, and send them to friends and family.

Pros

As outlined by one player, the graphics are fantastic, the sound is good, and the quests challenging and interesting. They likewise said that this game definitely demonstrates the 3D capabilities of the Nintendo 3DS with remarkable results. The sense of depth and height is said to be truly awesome in merely a handheld system.

Simple, straightforward and easy to master controls and gameplay were a real benefit as described by the majority of players.

Some individuals said that the missions were simple enough to accomplish pretty quickly, but that they got real replay value when attempting to complete all of the missions with 3 stars. They said that it could actually become quite addictive!

Cons

Playing this and other 3D video games for longer time periods could make you feel dizzy and may even cause eye-strain, according to one player, and they recommend frequent breaks to counteract this. Additionally it is somewhat difficult to flick your eyes between the 3D top screen and the map on the bottom screen.

One person said that they'd basically finished all of the missions within 2 hours, and that there could have been more of them for the cost of the game.

Several reviewers felt that the sound and music got quite repetitive after some time.

Sit in the pilot's seat for an incredible 3D adventure with Pilotwings Resort. Take a trip above Wuhu Island and simply absorb the views, or complete challenges and missions. Whatever you choose to do, enjoy soaring through the skies with your rocket belt, hang glider or plane.

Dragon Quest IX: Simple But Effective

Dragon Quest has been a key player in the RPG world, often eclipse in the American market by Final Fantasy, Dragon Quest has not lost steam in the Japanese market and with good reason. Dragon Quest IX doesn't rely on ever growing damage points to make you feel like your characters are growing, it has a simplistic and effective class and skill system and it doesn't take itself too seriously.

All too often people associate strength in RPGs with the number of 9s you see pop up on the screen. DQ doesn't feel the need for that and I think to its advantage. Without the focus on how big the damage points are getting you have more time to focus on the strategy of your character, working within the limitations of your class. This gives Dragon Quest IX a challenging edge without taking away from playability. Sticking with defined classes with specific jobs to complete to aid your party is where Dragon Quest IX 'makes up for' not having 15 rows of 9s popping up.

The class/skill system set up within Dragon Quest IX is simple but extraordinarily in depth when put into a multi player environment. For Example, when partying alone as a Mage your immediate job is to deal as much damage to as many monsters as quickly as possible. For the obvious reason of your Mage getting one shotted into the ground. But once you enter the multi player realm of DQ IX, you find yourself needing to hone your attacks more as to not draw the attention of the monster, so your meat shield (Warrior) can draw in the damage. Although there is not an exorbitant amount of skills to learn the narrowed scope makes the game much smoother to play then similar RPGs. Another problem of similar RPGs is that all too often realism get substituted for fun.

DQ IX is a fun little game that anyone can enjoy, especially those who are children at heart. Most RPGs and games in general have gritty backdrops with quasi good characters and graphics that make it hard to distinguish whats real and whats not. Which is great, but sometime companies need to remember as tale can be epic but still fun. One of my favorite moments of Dragon Quest IX was when you fight the evil "Master of Nun" a transformation of "The Jack of Alltrades". Sure its not the greatest pun in the world but I chuckled and had fun with it 'nun' the less.

Bubble Games For Kids

Bubble games can be played by adults and children alike even though for varying reasons. Unlike in grown ups where they are used to relax brains especially after a day's hard work, they can be used as child activities for fun to children. This can be a very simple way of keeping them engaged to avoid idleness and they will get to enjoy it. Before getting them to start playing, make sure all the necessary playing equipment are well in place and the playing ground is clear of any obstacles.

Common Children Bubble Games

Choose the best type of game for your child or children from the following:

Blowing contest - This is mainly used to see the child who has the ability to blow as many bubbles as possible. It can also be used to determine a child who maintains one for long time in the air or blow very many at the same time.

Dodging - It is also a good idea to try this one out where all the children form a circle and have one of them stand at the centre. The other children will then blow theirs and he or she tries to avoid being hit by any of them for at least a minute and it promises to be enjoyable for the children.

Tagging - In this one, a child is given a number of bubbles and chases the rest with them until he or she tags one with the bubbles who then takes over and it continues like that for the longest time they can be able to sustain the game.

Relays and races - This involves dividing the children into several teams and then selecting individuals from each group to blow a bubble and guiding it along a line to the end. The one who finishes first wins and it is repeated to all members of each and every group.

Stacking - This is accomplished by selecting a child from every group and having him or her blow the bubbles to catch them on the wand. Other members of the team repeat the same placing each on top of the other and the one with many stacks is declared the winner.

When choosing the best bubble game for children, consider some factors like excessive jumping and running which might cause them injuries. Therefore, it is good to go for the one that involves little activity if at all possible but if not then choose any since all they want is fun.

Arcade classics have continued to last generation and generation with no signs of slowing down. These arcade classic games have been spread all around the world and can be noticed in many different countries. I'm sure we all have watched while some teenager or maybe even an adult has spent hours at one arcade game.
